I love this composition and lighting! You know what would be even more interesting...if you did this in a Victorian era composition. Victorian woman, same lighting and pose, but have lace drapes or a see through type of material?

    This is Perfect!

The part I absolutely love is the *light* on the ribbons on the floor. Amazing!
Did you get a shot of this same thing without the flash from inside?

    Dat khach- Thank you!

    Svein J Lindstad- Thanks!

skagon- Well I didn't get this exact shot sans flash but I did take some that way originally. However the poses weren't natural enough and they were a little 'noisy'. I'm still figuring out these light management tricks! Hee hee!

digi.film ~ the occasional tourist- That's so nice of you. :)
What story is this one telling you?

paul's-shutter- I'm ashamed to admit that it didn't feel long at all. :P I just caught myself and realized that it had almost been a month since I had posted anything and this idea resurfaced so managed to pull it off.
Thanks for the welcome back though! :)

Fenstar- Thanks my dear! Glad to have you back as well! ;)

equusignis- There you go making me blush again. :) Hee hee

amx22- Thanks much for the invite!

    Wondertubs- Thanks!

Joao Jr- hahah! Two people have told me that now and I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out! :P

[Teffin]- Aww well I've been around. Just not posting! Hahah! Thanks very much for the compliments!

    goodoldchuck- Thanks!

karrantza- Timeless? That's quite a compliment! :) Thank you!

Jeroen Tiggelman- Thank you! That's a lovely take on the photo! I'm pleased that you enjoyed it!

you are very beautiful on this dress, just don't forget to do more turns on your bow, it's danger that way... :D
    nice to see you/your photos..

"What story is this one telling you?"

I'd prefer to keep that as private as you keep yourself, fair e'nuff? :)

Everyone interprets things in their own way... your photo's have always said something IMO, whether they have meant to or not. And I mean that only in the most complimentary way.

Great lighting and colours Archie-belle, I especially love the way the light hits the bottom of your sash (is that what you call it? or is it a belt?) Anyhow I love the way the light hits it and the child like quality it has to it simply because your standing on your tip toes!! Also i like the tender way you're holding the curtain, there's something soo beautiful about it....and lastly I love the retro quality to it, I dunno exactly what it is, maybe it's the dress and the curtains but it's reminiscent of and era gone by, if you know what I mean?

All in all beautiful work and I can't wait to see more girly-o!! :)

  40. KaptainKaveman (43 months ago | reply)

Um... yeah, what ^THEY^ said! Stole all my words, lol.

Light management IS the final frontier IMO. I like how the brighter backlighting didn't seem to effect the incoming glow up in the forefront.

  41. ~*Leah*~ (43 months ago | reply)

    I adore this :)

  42. AArchibald (43 months ago | reply)

Joao Jr- Yes it's actually to wrap around the waist so once I've done that there isn't much tripping!

digi.film ~ the occasional tourist- Haha! Well that's very kind of you. :)

    Pawel Sawicki- Thanks!!

solea20- Thanks very much for the invite!

Joao Jr- Oh really? I missed that. :P

principonemio- Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! :D

    ~tricky business~ Thanks my dear. :)

Cheeky Shel- Thanks! Hm...well it's not a belt. I suppose that one could call it a sash, yes. :) And that's my favourite part too!
You're so sweet. :) Thanks very much Shelly bean!

KaptainKaveman- Thanks very much! My light management has been a bit 'iffy' since I am slightly out of practice. I'm glad that you like it here though! :)
And I see that your screen name is better off donned with 'k's? Hee hee! What's the occasion?

~*Leah*~- Thanks so much for stopping by Leah! :)

Beautiful...amazing colors and contrast. It's been said before...I decided not to just leave it at that. One more person appreciates and has a perspective of your work that offers a different view...even if all the words seem the same......each view is different.
