Minimalist effect in the maximalist market
Our last project is about simplicity and we try to find alternate simple version for some package samples of the international brands. We think almost every product needs some review for minimal feeling.
What is your choice in these 3 different variations?
1. Original variation
2. Simple variation
3. More simple variation

love the crispness you've managed to bring to all of these.
really makes old brands pop.

I actually prefer the first in this case, I don't think the Red Bull packaging is overdone.

Love #3, but it could use a dash of the red. I love how easy it is to read the logo once you remove that loud background from the original.

2 is awesome, but I can't help imagining it without the yellow sun.

though 2 is very nice and makes the yellow pop, I love the iconic diagonal field design in the original
I'd propose a 4th design that retains the diagonal field of the original (1), but drops the yellow coloration of the sun and the "Energy Drink" copy (as you did in 3), but maybe keeps one or both of the bulls red.

This one is one of the better ones you've done. It really works. Most of them look really old-world, which is no bad thing.

I really enjoy the simplicity of the third image - Red Bull has been around since 1996, so I feel changing their image wouldn't affect sales poorly for their current following. (Possibly). I feel that the second and third image may appeal towards adults even more. (20-40 age group), because a majority of caffeinated drinks have loud labels, hard to read fonts, and other ridiculous images. Keep up the good work.

How can you have Red Bull without a ... you know ... Red Bull?

How can you have Red Bull without red? The original doesn't bother me. Number 2 is okay. But number three has NO red, which I think the product requires.

I think it's very ugly the original design, a simple variation was much better and bring the brand more results.

The funny thing about the 3rd Red Bull is that there´s no red at all.

I really enjoy this. I think it's a healthy exercise!
For instance, I do enjoy the 3rd, but the 2nd one might work better, the missing iconic colours in the 3rd one might lose visual impact.
