En route to work - 1
Every morning on my way to work I cycle through the Englischer Garten, a public park north of Munich's city centre. At seven o'clock in the morning there is still a tranquil and quiet atmosphere before the city wakes up completely. Now that the days are becoming shorter, it is also the places where I witness the sunset; and there are already traces of autumn with the ground fog floating over the streams and some of the lawns. It is such a beautiful moment that I decided to take my camera with me and leave the house early to take a few photos of this picturesque place.
This photo shows a view from the Monopteros, a small round temple-like architectural folly, toward Munich's city centre with its skyline of church towers.

Your comments are so encouraging to post even better photos in future. I am delighted that you are enjoying the scene. It would be nice if every one of you could have a similar scenic route to work.
Andreas CY could this be the beginning of the fairy tale series? Not sure. Maybe. But I was intending it as the start of another series about urban spaces. Will tell you about it.
Miumiulina and Poity_UK: I am grateful that I have such a picturesque cycle route to work. The park is also a nice place to stay during lunch breaks. Though I would still enjoy going to work, if my route wouldn't be so special. ;-)
Martin, vielen Dank für Deine genaue Beurteilung. Mir gefällt der Kontrast der kühlen Farben der Nacht mit den warmen Farben des Tags auch sehr gut. Daher hob ich ihn auch bei der Nachbearbeitung etwas hervor.
Gábor this is an interesting interpretation. The domes and spires could indeed be interpreted as oriental motifs. I am fascinated by your interpretation as Deborah Howard uttered a similar notion in her publication on Venice and my thesis evaluates the bulbous domes of the Church of Our Lady (the twin towers to the right of the centre) in a similar manner.

Tracy you should definitely return to Munich, if you have the chance to do so. I think spring and autumn are the best seasons. Though I do like winter in the city, especially the pre-Christmas period.
zahn-i es freut mich, dass Dir die Stimmung so gut gefällt. Ich hatte auch Glück. Hab die Tage danach auch die Kamera mitgenommen, aber so einen schönen Moment konnte ich nicht mehr einfangen.
Michelle you are absolutely right! It is a very nice reward being able to cycle through this beautiful park. It never becomes boring as different weather conditions and seasons constantly change the park's appearance.
James, good to know that I am not the only Flickr member who passes through the Englische Garten. Unfortunately I never bumped into you. We could have had a mini Flickr meeting en route to work. ;-)
