***INDUSTRIAL DECAY SET***
Power Generation Plant, Heat Exchange
One of America's earl(ier) hygro-power generation plants, left to rust in the humidity and heat of the summer. Much like the technology in your laptop or cell phone, all technology innovates to the point of less pollution, greater efficiency, and eventually size. Much like Buffalo's Colonel Ward Pump Station, these giants of industry and power can now be efficiency be done with generators/pumps the size of a small bus. Buffalo's historic Ward Station has five 4 story fly-wheel pumps (now inactive) that are now replaced by several VW bug sized pumps that are in the same station and stand about as high as ONE pump's base.
All hail technology, for better or worse, until death do us part!
Like my previous picture, I am attempting to put together a hyro-power collection and eventually a gallery show sometime next year. Since living in the Niagara region of New York (upstate, Buffalo area) during the year and the Southwest near Phoenix (close to Glen Canyon Dam and Hoover Damn) I felt it was only approriate since I have so many great sites to go to!
