Well finally, a clear night in 2012. Went out for a moonset tonight, not too cold just +1c, no ice on the lake yet. This weather we're having is very strange. Set this up for a 30 minute shot but after just 24 minutes the cresent moon disapeared behind a cloud. No sense in waiting any longer. The plane traffic was very busy tonight too... f3.5 ISO 100 from the pier in Erieau.

OK so it's not the Tallahatchie Bridge, but it definately has the muddy waters..Taken at our favorite spot on Lake Erie, but this time facing north, back into the land instead of out over the Lake. A bit of a breeze this night as seen in the tops of the trees....

Always check to see if you returned to 100 ISO after doing a set of 30 at 800 ISO...Because on a 62 minute exposure of the moon rising it tends to blow out just a tad...Not to mention, the 62 minutes more, in dark frame to realize I had done just that..
..And this was brought down 2 stops in Lightroom...sigh....
So Shotzy if you are seeing this "been there done that"...

It always amazes me to watch the waves slowly wash in to the shore. This was during the last full moon, and it was just a bit nippy. Only -4 c* and the ice had begun to form along the edge. As we sat there the opening to the inlet started to enlarge. I decided to do a series of 30, 8 sec shots ISO 800 F4. to show the moon reflecting on the waves.
Name that tune!!!!

Now this is my idea of moonlight madness...No malls no crowds no shopping no interact, just peace quiet and the moon rising over Cyprus Lake Ahhhhhhhh
20 minutes f4.5 100 ISO OOps make that 2 minutes.....
