Perth Train Station

This shot is the re-processed of my original sepia version of the HDR photo:
    www.flickr.com/photos/_autumn_leaf/262622781/

I made it a lot darker and higher contrast to give a more nostalgic feel.

Some information about Perth Train Station:

The sepia composition really gives this scene an aged look which makes an nice contrast to the modern scene..I love the splash of lighting to the left

I do like the contrast and the feel of the shot - plus the composition works well..

Thing I feel that is lost in B+W conversion is the space and human elements - the people on the platform arent visible immediately unless you seek them out in the B+W version. So the image loses a sense of scale and context.

However, the angle and tones make this a great shot in its own right.

@idreamofdaylight: Thanks for your comment. How I wish more people in flickr can give constructive comments like yours. I agree that the human elements was lost. In this photo, the emphasis was placed on catching the light and shadows, and I guess the strong contrast was purposely done to highlight the station and the train only. The humans were only the "sub plot".
