is purple, the right one is white. the shoebox contained 3 shoelaces, 2 were white and then there was the purple one. so i used it. i now lost the matching white shoelace. it is how it is.

i have a problem with websites that use my copyrighted images, without notifying me, for advertising services i do NOT endorse. above i cropped out the website i did not like, in order not to give it further traffic. science is no different: unethical usage of research results is appalling.

Flickr please do something: those blank referrals, they stink.

BTW, this was me trying to see how many similar images Google finds, given one of my Explored photos. You know, for many photos, digital copying (actually replicating) is easy: just send your photographer over there to take exactly the same photo. imagine how costly is the archiving of all this easily reproducible material, and not just money-wise but earth-wise.

i'd like a plugin that tells me the similarity index of photos i post, to teach me how to conserve my digital footprint: this image is 89% similar to a million other photos - the cardinality of this similarity cluster is 508000.

went on a quest to look for a font that would suit Barcelona, the modernist. The second-hand bookstore was the place. It is amazing how pervasive Helvetica has become, one wonders. Finally I decided I prefer Serif fonts to Sans-Serif, and so do my favorite brands :)
