Amazing image (not a photo) competing vs an amazing photo (not an artificial creation). In this regard my choice goes for the original and creative, with an emphasis on originality.

I wouldn´t mind an artiificial art piece in the pool, but I find the challenger show more technical brilliance than an original idea. I find the defender resembles many other beautiful sunset photos, and thus is a little bit cliche. Still, i am more drawn into the defending shot than the challenger so my vote goes to the former.

i REALLY like this photo as well, i think the colours are amazing and looks totally surreal.

However, i LOVE the defender. The tranquility of the image and the colours and compostion. maybe if you were challenging another one, my vote would be different.
