Lecidea lapicida 20040404_5469

The larger crustose lichen is called Gray-orange Disk Lichen (Lecidia lapicida) and occurs on rock such as basalt and granite. The smaller orange patches might be a different species.

And the yellow patch, is-it also a Lichen? And the grey? I never thought this could be Lichen.

Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)

Thanks, everyone. Jacques*, every little patch or color change you see is a species of crustose lichen, except for the little piece of a foliose lichen at the upper left (Umbilicaria sp). This photo is slightly out of focus, so its hard to see, but the rock is completely covered by them. There's probably about a dozen species in this photo. It's often difficult to identify the crustose species on rock, since one usually has to do microscope work and chemical tests on them. One has to use a rock hammer and chisel sometimes to collect them, unless their are loose fragments of rock present.
