Coke Training Filmstrip Image Circa 1945

Cell from a filmstrip found in a closet at an old Coca-Cola warehouse. The filmstrip was in a metal can, so it is in fairly good shape. The record is an oversized Electronic Transcription record (one side and about 16" in diameter). I am going to attempt to get access to both the filmstrip and the record to synchronize them on a video that I will upload either here or on another site.

Is it possible that Coca Cola actually tasted better back
in the old cooler boxes and in those nifty little glass bottles?
Alas, progress is not always good.

kazootus, you are correct. It used to taste better. The formula changed many times over the years. Mostly the changes were the amount of cane sugar versus corn syrup, which wasn't in Coke until recent decades. You can still get that good taste of the old Coca-Cola by picking up a specially packaged Kosher Coca-Cola around Passover or pick up an imported bottle from Mexico. Those are easy to identify by the large returnable bottles (King Size) with a paper label pasted onto it. You can usually find those in convenience stores or some supermarkets.

The Coca-Cola from Mexico is excellent! As is the Dr. Pepper from Dublin, Texas. You can really taste the difference.
