Bournemouth's highest attraction, this tethered balloon, operating from the beautiful Lower Gardens in central Bournemouth from April to September takes visitors to a height of 500 feet giving unprecedented views over the English channel and surrounding countryside.

An average ride lasts about 12 minutes and from the enclosed gondola below the balloon visitors can see for over 20 miles (conditions permitting). It even runs at night when the balloon is brightly illuminated.

The only way to travel....

This was the wedding car at a recent friend's wedding. It had been snowing earlier (hence the slightly dirty grill). I had seen the driver cleaning it earlier so it wasn't his fault!

She's always willing to pose, always happy to go on a photography walk, always willing to sit (not always still).

This is Bubs, our 7 year old Boxer. Yesterday, she killed a pidgeon which came down our chimney during the day. You wouldn't know it to look at her, but she can be a terror! But we love her.

For those not in the UK, it snowed last night. I've taken a lot of landscape photos and dramatic shots in the past when it's snowed but I'm trying to stick to doing things a little differently to try and experiment so here's a little shot of my dog's paw print in the (admittedly not very deep!) snow in our back yard.
