Well I bought myself a new camera tonight......a Canon EOS 350 D....shown here along side one of my old Canon lens from almost 20 years ago from a Canon 650 EOS model...the bonus is... my old lenses fit this new camera and work fine...
Really excited to see how is works....it will take me a couple of days to get orgainize but it is really easy to operate so far...
Apologizes for my absence and I do hope that you all understand...but I have been really busy at home and work..plus the kids never let up...also in researching this camera I spent a bit of time finding out if these old lenses would work or not...because they fit it is a good investment..at least I think..

Congrats on the new camera Carrie, you have the one below mine now...I have the EOS 400D, I haven't even scrapped the surface of how mine works yet, just sticking to the preset modes, I think I need to go on a course to work out the rest of the features..lol..:O)

I would like to give you a hint.
It took me a long time to deactivate Auto-ISO for some photos. ISO 800 is not very noisy with a DSLR, so give it try, not only at night. I used it on a windy sunny day for flower macros too. If you are interested, here are some ISO 800 examples.
