Hello to all...I thought I would like to add a historical photo instead of the usual flowers or sunset...something a bit different and a bit of history from the city I live in.
The Tekeli Mehmet Paşa Mosque (Turkish: Tekeli Mehmet Paşa Camii) is a mosque in the city of Antalya, Turkey. Built in 18th century in the Kalekapisi district, the mosque is one of the most important Ottoman mosques in the city.
It was built by Tekeli Mehmet Paşa the 16th century. Exact date of it building is not known, but it is believed to be between 1593-1607. Some parts of the entrance gate and the window edges are made of dressed stone.
To all my flickr friends.....Have a wonderful Monday
Steve brought to me the attention of a member who's daughter was in an accident...As this photo is called ''Heavenly prayers........''' I thought it would be nice to dedicate this to her family praying for a speedy recovery....
Steve wrote ( ineedathis ) seen here;
''One of our flickr friends daughter was into a terrible ATV accident
please pray for her and her family.
This is her page.''
