Congo : Vitshumbi #1
Vitshumbi is a fishing village on the southwestern shore of the Lake
Edward, part of the Lakes of the Albertine Rift (Albert, George, Kivu
and Tanganyika are the other ). This lakes count 81 fish species, only
69% are endemic species.
Most important for human consumption are the introduced species
(around 1950) like the Nile Perch and the Tilapia.
