There is a big spider living in front of my window, and she recently caught a huge moth and ate it. Graphic footage follows. She's has lovely markings on her legs and abdomen, but that isn't quite enough. She can't help it--she has 8 legs and a chitinous exoskeleton. She has pedipalps and chelicerae. I can't think of anything more hideous, but it's not her fault. Anyway, if you're not fond of spiders, you might want to skip a few pages.

Don't know what it is, but it's creepy. I can hear her saying "bwah hah haaaaa!" It strikes me as very spidery.

Here my teammate is munching on the moth in front of a streetlamp. IDK, maybe cue the theme from "the Exorcist."

Here she enjoys a snack while using 12.5% of her legs to do something or other. I was deeply flattered today when I suggested that this was how an old Art Nouveau painting of a spider might have been laid out, and my comment was met with agreement instead of guffaws.. Somewhere off to the side is a lovely stained glass window and an elegant woman in a way-over-the-top dress.

Here, Essy is showing off the fact that she has turned the moth into a ghost, in front of the moon, and that she is a creepy, monstrous thing with way too many legs and no visible eyes.
