REPOST....If being a good flicker friend is a indication of the afterlife then this photo must tell my future. Life is constant change, internet access has not been a priority, the story goes on but I do sincerely apologize to all my friends for dropping out of sight. I am doing well but in checking up on my flickr friends i am saddened to learn of my friend, Diana's illness. Please send well wishes and prayers Diana's way.

Be Compassionate...Please Join the fight against Juvenile Diabetes............

To me this photo is about compassion which is what we should all have for others. It is Dezy, my friend Jana's son. I lifted her photo from her stream and I hope she forgives me. For the original photo and story, please click here flickr.com/photos/blueskydesert/2169621302/
Dezy is one of the millions of children in America who battles Juvenile Diabetes, a very life threatening disorder daily. He is very active in the fight to find a cure and this year I am going to join him. Saturday, Nov. 1, Dezy is walking in the Juvenile Diabetes Fundraiser. I'm asking anyone that sees at this photo and is compassionate and able, please click here and help Dezy reach his goal of $1,000.00. It is very easy to donate and even the smallest amount is appreciated. Thank you!!

Wide Open Spaces

Wide Open Spaces

After Hurrican Ike blew through the area the skies were so blue and clouds so puffy and white. This is a cornfield in the Arkansas delta.

The Naked Cowboy

The Naked Cowboy

You know how sometimes the quality of the shot isn't nearly as important as the content? I had to snap this fast because I was sure I'd never again see a cowboy wearing nothing but a glow-in-the-dark halloween shirt. What he was searching for I'm not real sure but I do know about 10 minutes later he insisted I wear the binoculars because I was the hockey coach and he was the player. I also learned after you score a goal (goalie?) you hit your puck on the side of your skate. This kid has taught me more about hockey than I've ever known.
