My son participated in the California State Ranking archery competition in Sacramento recently. There was rain forecast for the Saturday afternoon. We expected some drizzle. It started to rain slowly, then it was pouring cats and dogs. This photo shows my son focusing on the target in the rain. He made 1121 points, quite good for his first competition. He is using an Olympic type recurve bow with the standard bells and whistles. Once thunder started the organizers cancelled the event for the day. I think it was more a liability issue than anything else. The competition continued the next day - a long day, catching up what was left over from the previous day.
