insecurity pouch ;-)

insecurity pouch ;-)

yep this is the contents of what I call my insecurity pouch :-) it's called that because it's supposed to be all stuff I hardly ever get to use, but that if I ever need, I need really badly and they aren't the sort of thing you can buy at the news agent's (unlike say chocolate lol). or even think to take along before you go out. hence insecurity, because you're just being insecure and you know it, but still :-)

okay, the story on the baggie: once I dropped a brooch in a public loo, and since if I left to get some kitchen gloves someone would go in and use it and flush, I had to get it out bare-handed. I've carried a sandwich-sized baggie to use as a glove for gross jobs ever since :D

what's in my bag? at last, the world finds out :P

what's in my bag? at last, the world finds out :P

Okay--had to do that some day! I keep getting friends and random strangers telling me, 'oooh, your bag is so tiiineeee! How can you fit all that in there?' etc etc, so I decided I'd just show them for ease and speed ;-) While I was at it I decided to make it public rather than by invite, and kill two birds with one stone by putting it in the What's in your bag pool--that way I don't feel so bad for spending hours snooping into other people's bags! hehe

This one fits all my regular purse junk. When I go out I also often take my camera(s) and of course weather stuff like sunglasses, hats, gloves, etc. But I rarely carry a bag to fit those since I just put the gloves & Co in my coat pockets and carry the camera in a separate bag or holster :-) So this is just my purse. Still though, it contains all the most basic stuff for if I need to crash at a friend's house or something for the night--pretty handy for someone without a fixed routine!

Stuff I forgot to include in the other picture (as you inevitably do, lol) They all still fit there though :-)

Coins for the euro (actually the pound too, dunno about Norway etc) are a pain in the neck. They're coin-heavy currencies--you get paper money only above 5. That means after just a couple of transactions you can easily find yourself with as much or more than that in coins, which isn't just a lot of money, but heavy and bulky too - I often end up with enough to fill that little pouch in the pic! Americans are lucky theirs goes down to the single dollar and only the fractions of a dollar come in just coin form, especially since it's a lot easier to get carried away and spend more with coins as most people are used to associating coins with lower values.
