      Thank you, Thorsten!

It's a very very old new technique.. I know it from my kindergarten-times. These are wax crayons in several layers; the lines are scraped out from the upper black layer.

Ooh, I had almost forgotten that kindergarden thing with vax crayons! Thanks for reminding me! :)

Thanks for all your nice feedbacks!

@ rosa.rot and Tricia: Indeed it is a technique from the kindergarten times, but I noticed that the excitement now while scratching the wax was the same like when I was young... perhaps I become more infantile the older I get. ;-)

Your journal has inspired me to start one. I haven't used the Moleskin diary. What mediums can you use with these that will not bleed thru? Thanks and beautiful journals.

Thanks again to all who commented!

@ donnamcm: VERY good idea. I'm sure you will take much pleasure in working at your diary. I use gouache, watercolors, pencil, crayons and the copic multiliners. All those mediums don't bleed through. And although the copic markers are bleeding through I use them for my moleskine. At the back side (where the colors bleeded throuhg) I do a collage or I use watercolors, after priming the page with gesso or opaque white.

Looking forward to see some pages from your new Moleskine diary and wish you much fun with it.
