Midway through its construction. It's a photo by Milton E. Taylor. This is one of the images in the show at PhotoCentral in Hayward, California, and it will be blown up to 32x40 in size! It is also in the permanent collection of the California Academy of Science and was donated to them by Dean W. Kinter, who worked for the company building the bridge. Mr. Kinter and Milton Taylor were apparently friends and shared some of the duties of documenting the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Here is a picture of the photographer holding a 5x7 Speed Graphic camera, the one he used to take some of the most impressive shots in my collection, including the one above.

This is an image from the California Academy of Science that is actually taken by Milton Taylor and is from an original 5x7 glass plate negative in my collection. A copy of my image was donated, along with about 250 other mounted prints, to the Academy and was thought to have been taken by Dean W. Kinter who worked for the company building the bridge. It turns out that Mr. Kinter and Mr.Taylor had some kind of working relationship, possible a friendship, and Mr. Taylor contributed some of the images to the company.
