On January 15, 2012, the temperature at my house in (Northern) Franklin County, Maine dropped to negative 19F. My anemometer and direction vane froze during the night. At about 10AM the temperature rose to -10. Maggie reluctantly ventured out with me to de-ice the instruments. I took this photo of Maggie just before we retreated to the house. We were out for no more than 20 minutes, when I snapped ths picture. The temperature rose to a blistering -5F on that balmy Sunday.

Tweaked, just a little.
