Men, Mud, Motivation: 143rd ESC takes on Tough Mudder Challenge
PALM BAY, Fla. – Inspired by the camaraderie forged in grit, grime, sweat and tears, Soldiers from the 143rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) plunged into the Tough Mudder Challenge Nov. 6, 2016, in Palm Bay, Fla.
A four-man team representing the 143rd ESC’s Headquarters and Headquarters Company and a 10-Soldier team serving with the 196th Transportation Company ran, slid, climbed, crawled and waded their way through a 12-mile course that boasted more than 20 obstacles that tested the challengers’ strength, stamina and self-confidence.
Although these men and women slipped and stumbled while enduring pain pumping from cramped calves and sore shoulders, every one of them crossed the finish line with smiles on their faces.
