An Everlasting Bagstopper, made for my friend Pat's birthday. I love this pattern, it's a quick knit. Plus, you can't beat knitting with cotton in the heat.

that's so pretty, from the thumbnail though, I thought it was a pretty little camisole!! gosh, I had so many knitting books and never made the things I was going to and finally got rid of them.
keep cool Sherry

C: I think Pat will like it, but
Ruth: she might have liked a camilsole more (too funny). You might have gotten rid of the knitting books, but you certainly found your artistic talents in a more self expresive way, than knitting from patterns could ever have given you.
K: I highly recommend this bag. It's my 2nd one. I'm also working on a BYOB from Knitty, but in my opinion that one is too much work for what it is.

hils_bils: what made you stop knitting? Did you lose interest in it? There are so many wonderful patterns and yarn, you should give it a fresh try.
Bauschke: Thanks

The last knit I did was an aaron cardigan -the most complicated item I had ever knitted, had lots of help with it from my Mom...when it was finished, I put it in some warm water and mild detergent to wash it out - and it shrunk to about 10 inches big - i ended up putting it on a teddy bear :( I was so upset!!! I had the water too warm instead of cold and the wool was only supposed to be washed in very cool water.
I have some embroidery projects I like these days, I like the complex stitches and colours, but I have to say it never gives as much pleasure as that first row of casting on and seeing a garment grow!
