Oh! Baby Baby!

Oh! Baby Baby!

Another shot of my new cousin Liz.

She is only a couple of weeks old and such a cutie. We had lunch in a cafe' on the sixth floor of the W building in Taipei, Taiwan.

A baby photo shoot followed the meal.

Liz was a real trooper and posed without complaint. Fun was had by all!

Again the 70-200 f4 really did a great job on the baby photos!

I have the new Nik Color Efex 4 now but I find I am so comfortable with 3 that I am not using 4 much (and I get better results in 3 still). I use the recipie presets in each filter quite a bit, and this is a feature that seems lacking in version 4... also Nik should have given us a way to move our efex 3 presets over to 4. Of course maybe I am just missing something and 4 can do this...

Meet Baby Liz

Meet Baby Liz

My newest cousin Liz

We met for lunch a couple of weeks ago in Taipei. (I had waffle-pizza she had milk)

I wanted to get some good shots of her and Mommy but my prime lenses were out of action. (need to go back to canon for some rehabbing).

I made do with the 70-200 f4 and am very happy with the results. This really is a super lens, I highly recommend it! (I have the older version - no IS)

Malaga, Spain

Malaga, Spain

The inland side of Malaga taken from the Castle of Gibralfaro, Malaga, Spain.

Malaga has such a beautiful and photogenic coastline I am surprised that I also enjoy this view of the densely packed city that sprawls inland.

Quite a beautiful place, from afar and up close as well.

Marriot Kona

Marriot Kona

Marriott's Waikoloa beach resort hotel was the first place we stayed on the big island of Hawaii. It had 3 or 4 beautiful swimming pools and a nice beach. My kids still talk about those pools!

This shot is from the Lani facing away from the pools and ocean, the lobby is straight ahead and the restaurant is below.

After taking this I wandered the short walk to the beach. It was a beautiful night and the star gazing was spectacular.
