not really sure where stannington are but one thing for sure is the view is stunning....is it possible to go there by tram?

i don't think so, apparently there are plans to extend the supertram there.

Superb shot!! I have taken a few from there myself!! For information the tram stops about one mile from Stannington at Malin Bridge..

@ manuela4: thanks! it's been made with a digital reflex, they're three shot (18mm, iso 100, low contrast and definition to reduce the noise) mixed with photomatix (hdr), then it's been increased the contrast on some point whilst on other (like some trees) it's been addes some 'sculpture' by lucisart.
@ mikejilljessicatomlee: thanks for the information, for the comment and for reminding of that great comparison with the past. i've been watching old postcard of sheffield, there're some areas which haven't change at all, whilst bole hill apparently has changed a lot.

its overly contrived, a gratuitous use of post shot editing.
there are no good qualities in this collage.
I mean if the sun was breaking that much the background would not be so dull.
