thank you to Dene Miles who told me about this place in Cali when I told her I was going to shoot the Golden Gate Bridge~ and to Robin Black who indulged me the "side trip" - It's actually quite a ways down a very crazy curvy cliff beach road~ and there is a beach where sharks eat surfers - so THAT is not good - but all in all I would say it was worth the effort:)

and, no, I am not giving up landscapes, Peeps!

learned a lot on my first portrait shoot about light and shadows and that I am not good at posing~ etc...

it's fun to try new stuff, though

posted this for Art Wolfe on fb. The little bit of interaction I've had with him through mutual charities and photography have shown him to be "pee your pants" funny, ginormously talented and endlessly inspiring both as a photographer and as a human being.

If you live under a rock in a bottomless cave and have not looked at his work - you should definitely check it out:) Better yet- go hear the man speak! I walk away every time with tears in my eyes from either lmao or from being moved beyond words.
