in a little girl's room

(blogged) Today Adelaide and I are puttering around the house, wondering what the day will bring us. The light is so pretty that I took these photographs of Addie hanging out in her bedroom.

This room seems to sum her right up. What-you-see-is-what-you-get. Bright and happy and cute and a little girlie but not too girlie. Simple but eclectic, full of surprises. Neat and tidy yet filled with favourite things. Much like her.

Our house is small, this room is tiny, and I often wish for a bit more space for us to breathe. To make a nice space for her books. or art supplies. But space aside, my hope with our home is create a space where we all - but her especially - can thrive and grow and find peace and inspiration and comfort. And happiness.

    Thanks everyone!

Bluebirdbaby: I called and ordered the poster(s) from a store called Penelope's in Chicago when they posted them on their blog a couple of years ago. They were really nice and were happy to send them to me in Canada. I don't see them on their website anymore, but maybe a google search will find some out?www.mysweetmuffin.com/Detail-Nursery.aspx?ID= 896
