84% of boysin Nigeria between the ages of 5-11 attend school exclusively, whereas only 76% did by the age of 15-17. These children feel that their time is better spent earning money for their families than getting an education. Concordantly, by the time a child reaches the age of 17, the likelihood that they will be participating in economic activities will have increased by 19%.
