Ghyll Scrambling. 365 Days, day 97.
Ghyll Scrambling is essentially an activity that involves traversing down a "ghyll" (the narrow rocky stream that flows down between two hills) by diving into the water, sliding down rocks, jumping into waterfalls and generally making sure you don't just walk along the edge. ;) It's a lot of fun and we had AMAZING weather for it ... but damn the water was SO COLD!
I borrowed a friends camera - an Olympus mju 725 SW - for the day. It's a shock-proof, water-proof point and shoot digicam and I really put it through its paces! It went with me in the water, along the rocks and came up trumps - not a scratch on it or a single problem. What a fantastic camera. :)
More pics from this and the whole weekend up at the Lakes are on the way (after I've done March and the rest of April!).

hehehe. Cheers Matt. The others up on the bank were equally amused - they thought I was nuts going BACK into the water with the camera just to take a photo ... And then messing about trying to get one I was happy with. ;)
You have no idea, Chris. ;) Cold isn't the half of it ... and I was pretty much totally submerged here too!
I'm glad someone noticed the tags, badjonni. :) Thanks.
Cheers, sosij. Yeah it was heaps of fun. :)

I'd never heard of it until this trip away either, Kit. :) I've no idea how my friends even found out about it.
