Ventura, as seen from the Ventura harbor beach. Beyond the hills you can see the the smoke from the Zaca fire. According to the official website, this fire has been burning since July 4, and is not expected to be contained until September. Apparently this is one of the biggest fires in California history.
When we got here, the air was quite hazy and the sun had an orange tint. I noticed that cars were covered in ash. The past couple of days have been clear, and I have taken these photos.
