      What a beautiful house! I wish we could've gotten something like that around here (in part because houses back then usually had root cellars and I'm trying to devise one...).

      Not all old houses are complaint worthy, my husband and I lucked out and got a house built in 1895, full basement (unfinished) fire place, bay window, front and back porches, 10 feet tall ceilings and huge rooms, you just have to keep on looking :D.
