Suprisingly, on our last trip to New Zealand we hardly saw any autumn colours due to the locations we visited (coast, glaciers). the vines were turning a great shade of gold as we were driving from St Arnaud to Kaikoura though. This warranted a roadside stop ! I've included a larger than usual size version for 'original' given its proportions.

Angelus Lake
New Zealand

This is another shot taken from the dawn I spend near Angelus hut finding ways to take images into the light but facing the camera downwind away from spray. Freezing, uncomfortable but so worth it :)

Kaikoura
New Zealand

We were treated to several consecutive dawns and sunsets of differing natures during our time at Kaikoura. This one was a more sedate one but more mysterious, hence the subject matter. I took a few from on top of the log which I'm not sure turned out as intended lol.

St Githa's Gardens
Bridgewater, SA

Back in Adelaide now and the 52week project will be focusing on a weekly outing with Charlotte somewhere. we tried to catch the last colours of autumn int the adelaide hills but torrential rain soon after this meant we spent more time under cover than exploring!

New Zealand

This image will the subject matter of a field tutorial as narrated by Marianne who took this shot while I was looking after Charlotte. Hope you guys enjoy it - it was taken at a mid tide during a break in some wild weather at South Islands far north.
