Log Cabin Quilt

When we went to the museum, they were just putting up an exhibit of quilts. This one is Log Cabin, 1850-1875, Silk, pieced. The size makes them think it was a parlor throw and not a bed cover. Would you ever guess the age from those colors!

Gorgeous... and 'parlour throw' is even better. I think I'll rename all my lap quilts as parlour throws!
