beautiful composition in this portrait. I think the problem with contrast here is the compression system with the flickr use. I had noticed it in my photos too. I make some test one time ago and if you use flickr upload you will have higher contrast than using the web, but the difference is very little around 5 ~ 10% and 25% than the original jpg. The best is .png, but also when you make the upload increase the contrast too... I hope I have helped you a little.
