A male monkey and his mate relax near an ancient naga at the ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
This is the first shot from a new upcoming tutorial that describes some new techniques with which I am experimenting. I hope you like it!

Looks like some ps-onebutton-filter to me.

aye, it does, plus some layer masking and whatnot to keep the monkeys crisp, is my best guess. so um, where's the blog post where we get to find out? I mean, really. It's not like you've got a family to feed or anything.
the effect though, still reminds me of shots like this one:
www.flickr.com/photos/outallnight/506622211/
(not the best example, I know, but it was one of the first I found - and that one has gridlines on it from the viewfinder of the medium format camera he was shooting through...)

Re the reference to GW, true story. During the debates in 04, my 4 year old grandson, was watching the debates with conservative relatives in IA. Having no TV set at home, had no idea who GW was, blurted out, "who is that monkey man?" Guess he wasn't alone.

@Noa A .. if that is true it is a very sophisticated filter (i wrote one to emulate a Polaroid, over 100 lines of filter code) .. must admit, this is great art work!
