14/03/2009 (Day 3.73) - Calculating Pie

Something to do with the ratio between the crust and the filling, isn't it?

For International π Week - if you use inferior American date notation (and who, in the civilised world, does that?), today is 3.14. Pi Day.

    It's also Albert Einstein's 130th birthday today.

    Hooray! Explored!

A year ago today I had a mushroom pi.

You have too much time on your hands. Why are you measuring pie when you could be eating it?

      What sort was it?

Sailing home from Taz, we stocked up on National Pies ("Meet the meat first bite") which I came to rather like, if not love. V useful for a stormy day, if a tad less flash than barbied flying fish. Whose pie is this one?

: It's a cheap meat pie from Woolworths. I forget the brand. I took it out of the freezer just long enough to grab a couple of pictures, then put it back. It'll get eaten another day. Coming Soon: The Food Poisoning 365 Portrait!

      : There doesn't seem to be :-)

      how appropriate for pi day!

With that date format, it would only really have been pi day back in the past: 3.14 1592

      geek! LOL

There was I thinking you were making patterns in the pastry before baking it. I've never been able to come to terms with a date notation that goes from middle-sized throught smallest-sized and on to greatest-sized.

You need to find/grow a square or cube root next (rather like all those funny carrots, tomatoes etc on That's Life decades ago).
