Great idea with the face! The part where the four circles are looks the same as the m1919 machine gun but I don't know why I thought of it.

I love how a playful piece can birth so many ideas. I love all the above ideas. The spike though, takes the cake. It would be a great accessory to add some detail to other weapons or armor or even builds... definitely builds!

Looking good, Will! The face on the axe head reminds me of something from Mario. I don't know what though, lol
This is definetly on my list of things to draw. Btw, I have just started using a grid on some drawings. Hopefully it will improve some minor defects in my drawings ;)
also, are those Gold chrome and silver chrome bars from the unused plated sprues?

I just suspected that it had to be because lego has never made chrome gold or silver bars, and it just seemed to good of quality chrome to be from a lego set haha! I also knew that it couldn't have been a lego bar that you plated because the chrome would not stick because the plastic does not have zinc, or whatever it is that is in the special milky white plastic you use
I'll have to think about what to choose ;)

This has got to be one of my most favorite things that you have made Will. I just love the design, I could totally see it used as a Ork/Goblin/Troll axe. I think that it could also be used in Sci-Fi environments, and would make great architectural detail.

The gold looks nice, the axe haft I have an idea for a pendulum with the haft and if possible to get a lot of the bottom piece of the axes to make an iron maiden

I'd agree with many that while the axe head itself is truly fun stuff, that butt cap definitely has a ton of potential. It would give added spark to any polearm, not to mention useful in other fun ways.
