Cross at the east end of Guildford Cathedral, Surrey
The cross was placed here in 1933, before the Cathedral was built. The original cross was made from timber from HMS Ganges (a very famous training ship on which many sailors started their naval career.) The cross was recently restored - so I'm not sure whether it is the original timber.
