The Leaning Garage of Hillsboro

I wasn't told of this destination beforehand... or of its location.
I was taken along roads that meandered and twisted through the countryside by metakephoto and HeatherJonesPhotography...a trail of which I have no reliable recollection to repeat with any accuracy. I wasn't blindfolded but I might as well have been. I was lost... but lost with a camera, a flash and some gels.

Stepping out of the car I took one look at the sky and said... "These are the clouds (noctilucent clouds) Victor has been talking about". Knowing from his photostream how fleeting they can be I started shooting quickly.

    Strobist: 580exII with red gel.

Love how you used the NLCs in this beautiful shot. Wouldn't it be great to get these behind and above the Peter Iredale?

Such a cool shot, Luke! I love that old house with the funky garage and big old tree in the back. Nice colors with the blues and reds on this... and those electric noctilucent!!!

Like Don said, wow, this is the shot of a lifetime, I'm shocked how rural this seems when it is probably just outside the city.

NLCs alone make a fantastic shot but to have this setup with the gelled flash and odd structure in the overgrown field is just beyond brilliant!

As you know I love "old leaning stuff". I seem to be close to turning into just that myself! How neat to stumble across these clouds. I was on the look-out, even talked to some folks who saw some after Victor pointed the way, but had no luck. And by the way this is an incredibly cool shot. I love the two little rectangular windows looking into those clouds.
