I know I'm not supposed to be sharing Turkey photos just yet, but just before Maghrib today while I was walking out of Aya Sofya, I was hit with this scene and couldn't help but share it.
The Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii, or the Sultan Ahmed Mosque) is known by that name because of the interior tiles that line the ceiling and walls... but this scene gives its name a whole new meaning :)
those clouds are storm clouds -- it started pouring a few hours after this photo was taken. I was on a dock on the Bosphorus when it hit, both my 550d and I got soaked! :D
