Muniamman is my friend's great-aunt, or at least that's the best I could establish. She is over 80 years old (they don't really know her age) and still working in a garment factory in Madras. She has about two teeth visible. Muniamman was quite young when the British Raj was in place and told me (through a translator) she "remembers the Britishers well."
