"stop using plastic, the result will be fantastic"
As cheesy as some of the placards may have been (this was one of the
better ones), I was impressed to learn that Darjeeling, and as I would
later find out, Sikkim as well, has banned the use of plastic bags.
A small procession carrying anti-litter and anti-plastic placards
walked through the city and ended at the Chowrasta, where a series of
educational skits were performed.
A truck was collecting plastic bags to be recycled into pipes for
public use.
