I like this shot, the red vs white is fabulous. but, i do agree that it seems a bit OVER manipulated, like you have gone one step too far. it is nice too look at in thumbnail, but not large.

As someone else has said - it's too contrasty for me especially given the lack of detail already with the white snow above the leaf. Nice idea to highlight the transitions of the seasons though.
