Cherry House Quilt Along

    Prev Next

All done! Find the quilt instructions here at Cherry House's quilt along. While I really like Cherrie's parallel line quilting, I knew I could do that (have done that on many a quilt), and took the small size of this project to be a chance to try something new. I love the "raindrops in a puddle" look of the circular quilting, but it is REALLY finicky and there's a lots of puckers and puffs. I'm glad I tried it though, and the little quilt is on it's way to the Baltimore Early Head Start Program as per Cherrie's call to all quilters. :-)

Wow! This is so beautiful. I started a similar quilting project with concentric circles, but it's lain in the corner for about a month since I had to unpick 8 rings after I caught a fold in the backing. I can't see your puckers and puffs in this photo -- though I like the way the fabric puffs in the center of each drop, and between them.

      But again, really,super, beautiful.

Thanks Dan. I understand your pain with the concentric circles! Mine looks fine -- as long as you don;t get too close! ;-)
