Back Door Of Durdle Door

Back Door Of Durdle Door

This is 'Man O War Cove', which is, as the title says, the back door of that infamous arch. When I arrived here, I immediately thought "disaster" as the tide was so far out, there was no water movement and all the best rocks were 50M up the beach behind me! However, as the sun set I had this amazing light fill the bay, which turned the extremely calm sea a beautiful turquoise colour, so glad I stayed really.

I got this with no thanks to the miserable individual who promised to give me a parking ticket if I wasn't out of the 'empty' car park by 1700Hrs...... No need for it..... Git!!

Thanks for your time folks.

Butter Rock

Butter Rock

I'm really not sure about this image. For me it's lacking some drama, leading lines et cetera. Why post? Well, again I'm not sure, maybe it's just me being over critical but my primary reason in deciding to post is because of all the effort it took to get there, and to be honest due to the lack of tide and movement, it's about all I could get before I got cut off by the incoming tide further up the beach.

White Rock Cafe

White Rock Cafe

Stopped for a Coffee after walking for what seemed like an age down to the Stack at the far end of this image next to Bat Hole. This spot was about halfway back and the soft shingle was taking it out of me! As I took my first sips and trying to open my 2 fingered Kit Kat, I turned round and noticed this little gem, just waiting to be togged as the sun set behind Portland and the 2012 Olympic Games Sailing Venue.

So much better if viewed in Flickeflu (Just click the link below) as the image quality is far better if you do. Additionally, you can comment from Flickeflu if you so wish, as Don Tiffney above has done. I really think that more people should try it.

NO BANNERS PLEASE.

Thanks for looking folks.

More Door

More Door

A quick trip down to Durdle Door this evening where I met up with the talented Scott Howse We soon found a thick layer of grey cloud approaching, so hadn't much time to get a few shots in the bag. This is all I got to be honest, Scott disappeared the other way for a while, so check out his results.
