Me, being twelve.

Me, being twelve.

Me, making one of my silly faces while showing off my new haircut (see previous photo).

I'm smiling because my hair is straight, for the first time in my life. Ever. It stayed that way all day. If you've seen the before, then you'll understand! Alas, it will not be this straight again for some time. I don't have the tools =(

My new haircut! I designed it, myself.

My new haircut! I designed it, myself.

I got my hair cut, today. I designed the cut myself, brought in sketches and photos to give my stylist a clear idea, and then let him work his magic. I told him to "razor the sh*t out of it". The main idea was to create a drastic angle (the back is several inches shorter), as well as give me bangs for the first time in 9 years. It turned out well, I think.

I took these photos after I got home from a date, and if said date eventually sees this, he'll probably laugh at me for rushing to the washroom to take pictures of myself right after ;) All in jest, of course.

Here's a question: I think I look a bit more professional, now (as opposed to looking like a shaggy hippie, before!). Take a guess and tell me, how old do I look, here? (the reason I ask is that, before, people would guess much younger, which I'm trying to avoid, now!)

I was at the local Canadian Tire (or as my Dad calls it, "Ukrainian Tire," or as my Mum calls it, "Canucky Tire"), heading in to buy myself an oscillating fan because my air conditioner died, and my room was hovering in the 22-24 degree range (celsius). You see, I live in a studio apartment. A studio apartment where the rooms were built after everything else, including the installation of an air conditioner. As there was an air conditioner, no window was included in my room. Not only does said room accumulate heat due to being in the middle of the apartment, but there is absolutely no fresh air flow, making that room no longer up to code and liveable by human beings (unless I care to give my roommates a live, nude show).

Thankfully, the air conditioner was ripped out on June 15th, and I now have a large hole in the wall, until I get a proper window in a few days. A hole that gives me fresh air and natural light! Awesome.

Anyway, that was quite off topic. Behold, a coffee cup in a shopping cart prison!

Took this one at Greenwood Station, after I had been out that night at a spoken word/music event. I'm happy that the flooring was still somewhat shiny, beneath the crud. I took special care to show just how close the trash bin was.

Pardon the blurriness! The train was moving, and I was also up past my bedtime and wasn't at my steadiest (don't take that the wrong way, I wasn't drinking ;P )
