i'm not around much this week - catching up when i can!

The last monk shot; my early morning trip wasn't about spiritual enlightenment, or really about buddhism. it was about me getting to know the people, their culture and to help me feel comfortable before photographing them.

This is the elder of the group; he asked why i was taking photographs of the monks. After explaining he asked to see the shots i'd taken, he laughed as i flicked through them and he called out the names of the monks in the photographs.

He asked if i'd like to take his picture; it's harsh because of the artifical light from the market behind me, he also felt he had to get as close to me as possible.

I can't remember any of the names he called out, what i'll never forget though is this truely amazng experience.and insight into the morning alms feeding of the monks.
