cantina tower, view from above, with landscape

Part of the Lauria purchase, this little roof in the back, not the big roof in the front, is the top of a two-storey tower built on top of the baronial cantina or wine cellar. And the view of the surrounding landscape is spectacular!

It's pretty run down, but there are two storeys which we can unite with a spiral staircase and turn the tower into a little apartment looking out over the countryside.

Through this gate/door is the huge hollowed cave, 100 square metres large, which the Lauria barons used to age their wine. It remains a constant cool temperature, year round. Above, you can see one of the windows on the floor above, in the tower.

Just the entrance part of the garden. To the right there is a little staircase, four steps down, and then you are in a tiny orchard with olive trees and other fruit trees. Really tiny, doesn't really deserve the name "orchard".

Through this ramshackle arch is a lovely little garden with four olive trees, surrounded by tumbledown stone walls, and just inside the arch, to the left, is the entrance to the cantina.
