      Anne's father was a book keeper in Everton hence the Liverpool connection. Anne herself was born in Appleby, Westmoreland.

      Her career as a dressmaker would never have taken off....well except unless aided by a big gust of wind...
      Yep .... in 1851 she was a dressmaker.... but not an excellent designer or model!
