November 2005. Got up before 5.00a.m. and hiked to a spot above the mists over Lake Shojiko. Unbelievable views. We saw a couple of photographers who had stayed by the lake. They hadn't even been able to see Fuji-san!

You can't possibly have any idea how good this is....well, maybe...nah...you couldn't...
Another photographer on flickr inspired me to start shooting landscapes again; this makes me want to go back into retirement (read: h-i-d-i-n-g)

Thanks to all, and especially to The Medicine Show for your effusive praise. I feel very humbled, but, in fact, like most landscape photography, in my opinion, 90% of it is simply to be there.
It's a long time since I've been to Fuji-san. I must go again. If I can be rewarded with another view like this one, I'll be very happy.
